Leigh Anna Thompson

I grew up in Goodlettsville, a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee…Garth Brooks lived down the street and I babysat Willie Nelson's granddaughter. YeeHaw Y'all!

I am boxer obsessed. We had two, Max and Samus, for almost ten years before we lost both of them in 2011. We now have two new babies, Rilke and Bronson.

I wanted to be an Astronaut until I went to space camp in 7th grade. Then I wanted to be a pilot until I flew to Europe in 11th grade. Somehow I landed into graphic design then into photography!

I have been married for 13 years. I love my husband dearly.

I am the baby of my family by 13 years....my mom thought she had a bladder infection and found out she was pregnant instead....whoops!

Thankfully it was a good whoops….my mother is one of my very best friends. I think she is secretly plotting ways to get me back to Nashville.

I'm obsessed with HGTV. I could watch it for hours. Thank goodness we don't have cable so I don't do it very often.

One movie I can watch over and over again is Garden State.

I have my black belt in Wado Ryu Karate. But I haven't practiced in a long, long time.

My first job was at the Opryland Amusement Park. I worked in the games section....you know those people who have to guess your age/weight/birth? I did that. My favorite game to work was speed pitch…so many cute boys! :)

I never EVER thought I would like photographing weddings, but I fell in love after the first one. There's just something special about witnessing two people in love... I can't imagine doing anything else!

I love Friday Night Lights...and I might have a slight crush on Tim Riggins…Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose!!

I literally have thousands of photos that I have taken that I will probably never get around to editing. I wish I could teach my dogs to edit.

I believe it's better to try and fail than to never try at all.

I try to be fearless and live my life in a way where I have no regrets…emphasis on try.

Speaking of bravery, my husband Chris and I completely restarted our careers by quitting our jobs, going back to school, and then moving to NYC. Some days it's the best decision I ever made and other days it's the worst. But I would never be where I am today had we not just jumped in with everything we had.

I'm easygoing. I try not to let the little hiccups of life bother me or throw me off my game. No matter what, there are always issues that need to be solved and freaking out doesn't help anything.

I truly believe everything happens for a reason and I am very thankful for all life's experiences....good and bad.
